The Reverend David Raymond Chew, Jr., 30, husband of Rebecca Midgett Chew and a resident of Parksley, VA, passed away on Monday, July 16, 2012 while on his way to help others in their time of need.
Born February 20, 1982 in Nassawadox, VA, he was a son of David Raymond Chew, Sr. and Mary Lou Pruitt Chew of Guilford, VA.
David was an EMS provider, having been employed by both Northampton and Accomack Counties, and was a part-time Pastor, recently appointed to the Hallwood United Methodist Church. He had attended the University of West Virginia and the Eastern Shore Community College. David was a devoted member of the Bloxom Volunteer Fire Company, and was active in the Boy Scouts, having obtained his Eagle Scout Medal. He was a member of the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife and their 3-year-old son.
